Summit Valley ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the Summit Valley Chrome Extension and website (summitvalley.app), and how it is used.

1. Information We Collect

Waitlist email address. If you choose to join the Summit Valley waitlist via the signup form on this website or within the extension, your email address is collected and stored securely by Formspree (our form processing provider). We use it solely to contact you about Summit Valley's launch and early access.

Your display name (local only). The extension may ask for your name to personalise your greeting. This name is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is never transmitted to us or any third party.

No browsing data. The Summit Valley extension does not read, record, or transmit your browsing history, open tabs, search queries, or any other activity in your browser.

2. Third-Party Services

The extension fetches the Fear & Greed Index from alternative.me to drive the live weather in your valley. No personal data is sent in this request — it is a public API call.

Waitlist form submissions are processed by Formspree. Their privacy policy is available at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

To send you updates about Summit Valley's launch and early access program.
We will never sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

Waitlist email addresses are retained until Summit Valley launches and early access invites have been sent, after which you may request removal at any time by emailing us.

Your locally stored display name can be removed at any time by clearing your browser's local storage, or by uninstalling the extension.

5. Your Rights

You may request to view, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you at any time. To do so, contact us at hello@summitvalley.app.

6. Children's Privacy

Summit Valley is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of Summit Valley after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
